life below the railway
Life below the railway. This hidden secret side of Manchester is located on Greengate at the Manchester Cathedral end of Chapel Street. My image seems a million miles from the clean shinny, glass architecture of Modern Manchester. However, my hidden Manchester beauty spot is only a stones throw from Number One Deansgate, and The National Football Museum, two of Manchester’s most contemporary buildings.
My Manchester Images photo blog will continue to document through the simple medium of photography the hidden beauty behind forgotten Manchester. I am passionate about cataloging this side of the city, and as we seem to constantly move towards becoming another great European city with cloned landmark buildings in amazing shapes, catching the sunlight with shimmering effect and towering above us, I wonder if we may just loose one of the things that made this city so great… personality.
